Manuscript evaluations are ideal for completed novel drafts. With this service is like an enhanced beta read where I will leave in-text comments in your manuscript to give real time reader feedback. An honest feedback letter will also be provided to explain the novel’s strengths and possible areas to consider for revision (1-3 pages). The rate for this service is $0.01/word.
Developmental Editing
Developmental edits for fiction novels are ideal for early drafts before copy/line edits. This service focuses on the novel’s content such as character development, pacing, story arc, and various other craft elements. Here you will receive in-text comments leaving real time reader feedback, an editorial map, editorial letter, and two thirty-minute chat meetings where we can discuss any questions you may have. The editorial letter will outline the manuscript’s strengths and areas to consider with suggestions and recommended recourses outlined in a 5–10-page document. Developmental edits are subjective with honest feedback and ways to help level up your novel. The rate for this service is $0.02/word.
Editorial Map
An editorial map, also known as a book map or comprehensive chapter list, is a fantastic visual outline to obtain a birds-eye view of your manuscript. The map will track character/plot threads, help keep track of different points of view (if applicable), pacing, and the overall structure of the novel. This service is included in a developmental edit, it is not included in a manuscript evaluation. The rate for this service is $200.
